The posts include opportunities in teaching as well as administrative, technical and other non-teaching categories. The eligibility, duties, examination pattern and selection requirements vary according to the individual position.

Candidates who have cleared the required stages should therefore check the result carefully and follow the next instructions issued by NESTS.

  • Minimum Age: Not specified
  • Maximum Age: 30–50 years, depending on the post

Age relaxation is available to eligible candidates according to the applicable EMRS/NESTS and government rules.

Because the maximum age differs significantly between posts, candidates should refer to the relevant post-specific eligibility conditions in the recruitment notification.

What Is the EMRS Tier-II Result?

The Tier-II result indicates the performance/status of candidates who appeared for the second examination stage.

Candidates who have been successful should carefully read the result notice for information about the next stage of recruitment, which can vary according to the post. Depending on the position, further formalities may include skill tests, interviews, document verification or other prescribed requirements.

A candidate should not assume that qualification in Tier-II alone constitutes final appointment. Final selection remains subject to the complete selection procedure and fulfillment of the applicable conditions.

Teaching Posts: Career Opportunities

Teaching positions in EMRS provide educators with the opportunity to work in residential schools established to provide quality education to students from tribal communities.

Teachers can be responsible for:

  • Classroom teaching
  • Preparing lessons and learning materials
  • Assessing student performance
  • Maintaining academic records
  • Guiding students in academic activities
  • Participating in school events and activities
  • Supporting the overall development of students

The residential-school environment can also involve responsibilities beyond regular classroom teaching, depending on the position and institutional requirements.

Non-Teaching Roles

EMRS also requires employees to keep its residential schools functioning smoothly. Non-teaching employees may work in areas such as administration, accounts, technical support, laboratory work, office operations, maintenance or other institutional services, depending on the post.

These positions can therefore suit candidates who want to work in an educational organization without pursuing a conventional teaching career.

Career Growth and Job Benefits

A career with EMRS can provide candidates with experience in education, school administration, student management and institutional operations, depending on their position.

Government service also provides a structured career framework, with salary, allowances and promotional opportunities governed by the applicable rules for the particular post.

The exact pay scale and promotion structure differ considerably between Principal, PGT, TGT and non-teaching positions, so candidates should check the notification for the post they applied for.
